Manic Monday

If it has to be Monday, we can at least have a little fun...!!!

{One can never have too much sparkle, especially at this time of the year!}

How was your holiday weekend?? My Christmas at home felt too short, but was very nice and comfortable. I like having traditions and sticking to them! The mall has been crazier than I thought I would be, but I guess now everyone has money to spend! At least most of them are happy shoppers :) This week has started off amazingly and will end much the same, I'm sure, with New Years on the way. One of my bestest friends is in town for the week and I get to see her as much as I want! What more can you ask for?! Love you, Ems!

Happy Holidays!

Have a very lovely holiday!

Stay safe on your travels and enjoy the break!

I'm heading home to Tennessee for a couple of days to spend Christmas with my family. Even if tomorrow is just another day for you, I hope it's a great one, and to all those celebrating: Merry Christmas!

Manic Monday

If it has to be Monday, we can at least have a little fun...

Are you noticing a pattern? Holiday weeks I always get behind on posting! Working in retail during the holiday season is definitely exhausting, and this week is no different. Just thinking about this week makes me tired! Posting will be light, but I know you'll have plenty to look at from your other lovely blogs. If I haven't said it enough before, thank you for reading my little ode to creativity every week! Have a great week, my friends!

I know I've linked to the website Toxel before, but I'm always so amazed by what I find there that I can't help but continuing to share with you! This is a fun video installation created by Tokujin Yoshioka for Hermes scarves:

I promise you'll love everything you see on Toxel, so go find something to inspire you!

Artistic Gold Mine

Ryan Berkley: "...likes animals, comics, and his markers individually and collectively. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and their ceramic roadrunner, Winston."

Dan-ah Kim: "...is a Brooklyn based artist and designer who freelances in film, televsion, and illustration. A graduate of Pratt Institute, she works in the art department of film and commercial sets, as well as making personal art. Her paintings and mixed media pieces have shown with galleries in California, Chicago, and New York."

Melissa Moss: "I used to take the slow lane into work. I didn't care if I was inhaling the fumes of a semi if it meant I would get to work later. Each day my soul seemed a little heavier. In 2002, my amazing husband helped me realize that not only was I miserable at work, I was miserable just thinking about going back. So after a few freak outs, I left the publishing world to study color psychology and during my course work, discovered my true passion: painting. Color is my primary artistic element. I've studied the meanings and associations of colors and their subtle shades and tones and use this knowledge to convey the mood of each painting. After living in Chicago and New York, I'm currently happy living in sunny Los Angeles."

I'm loving Little Paper Planes and all of the artists I'm discovering! Go, explore, buy!

Color Me Pretty

I bet this would take hours and hours of meticulous labor, but wouldn't it be fun?! Only 500 of these dresses have been produced, designed by Berber Soepboer and Michiel Schuurman, and come in 4 sizes. This is the ultimate DIY gift!

Manic Monday

If it has to be Monday, then we can at least have a little fun...

Have you realized that it's less than two weeks until Christmas? If you have, then you're more on the ball than I am! I seem to have lost all sense of time these days. I only pay attention to my involved and erratic work schedule on a day-to-day basis, hoping for enough sleep every night! At least I have something to look forward to now, knowing I'll get to spend more than 24 hours at home for the holiday :)
