Manic Monday

If it has to be Monday, we can at least have a little fun...

Aaaaand we're back. Had a great week/weekend full of family and friends, one that will tide me over for a while! How was your holiday weekend? Maybe you took advantage of the shopping sales and came home with some great finds, or perhaps you purposefully stayed away from the stores! No matter what you did, I'm very happy to have you back here with me in the blogosphere :)

And three links to inspire you...

*Does your favorite fashion designer have a blog? Find out!
*A lovely site where art industry slaves can plan house swaps while globe-trotting
*Be prepared to laugh when you watch these mashed up movie trailers!

Thanksgiving!

Ok, friends, I've been having some Blogger issues this week which is why my posts have been zero to none. I've decided to just take the week off since it's a really busy one for me! I hope you all have a really nice and plentiful holiday full of laughter, family and friends because I know mine will exactly that!

Happy Thanksgiving{/fall holiday for the non-Americans}!

Fashion Friday

I posted about the new label Eyola yesterday on Luxella, but I thought it'd be great for today's fashionable post. I'm in love with this designer!

This is quite possibly the best new label I've seen in a while!
"Eyola takes inspiration from the opulent style of the Victorian era with a contemporary twist.
Each collection takes the form of Octettes which comprise of eight individually crafted and
distinct designs each with their own personality. The number eight is relevant primarily as
the figure ‘8’ reflects the hourglass shape created by the Victorian corset."
How amazing is that concept??
Aloye previously worked under Alexander McQueen, so it's obvious why this label is haunting, beautiful, and meticulous.

Enjoy your weekend and I'll see you again Monday!

Um, I'll take the chair, one of each pillow, and possible two of the puppy. Ok, four. I want four!

Digital Goodness

Two things I love:
1. Learning about an artist's inspiration, and
2. Art that's just a little bit dark and morbid

In this video I get both!

Champagne, energy, backwards signature... definitely interesting!

Manic Monday

If it has to be Monday, we can at least have a little fun...

I've been feeling a little less than motivated in my efforts for blogging these past couple of days, so sorry for the delay! This is week means a birthday celebration, the Twilight premiere {though I won't be attending}, and Thanksgiving is inching closer everyday!

How cute is Natalia Vodianova and her family??
Family is the word of the weekend, as mine is coming for a short visit!
The weather will be perfect here, and I hope it's perfect where you are.
Have a lovely weekend!
